I'm as appalled as anyone by the president's behavior today but if anyone thinks this Steffen Seibert photo is going to hurt Trump with voters I really don't think you've been paying attention pic.twitter.com/RKmHm8pOEe— Seth Mandel (@SethAMandel) June 10, 2018
The Times put it above the fold on the front page, which says they think it makes Trump look bad.
[blink] [blink]
After Napoleon's fall, the old Bourbon monarchs were restored to the French throne. They combined viciousness with incompetence in equal measure. It was said of them that they had learned nothing and forgotten nothing.
You'd wonder if the Times realizes that a lot of people voted for Trump because he said he would stand up to bad trade deals, but actually you shouldn't wonder.
"The Germans and French are angry with Trump, so vote Democrat" is... well let me just say, I wouldn't advise Dems to run with this one— Seth Mandel (@SethAMandel) June 10, 2018
Dear NYT: the Re-Elect Donald Trump 2020 Campaign looks on and smiles.
The Times can no longer attract or hold the attention of the intelligent and well informed reader. They can’t sell a subscription to save their lives, and advertisers are turning their backs on disreputable and untrustworthy fake news outlets. They are now so desperate for ratings and readers that they’ve been reduced to chit posting and trolling their own readers.
ReplyDeleteAnother plausible theory is that - as the official mouthpieces of our elite class - they’ve become utterly clueless about the dirt people they rule over, and think they can still manipulate them with propaganda.
Apparently the elite class can't help but run back to the Spanish Man's Grave, in the belief that the medicine will protect them.
ReplyDeleteNow is the time to show them dirty shirt blue, and teach them that their gods hate them.
I'll bet that the Tines's subscription numbers are up since 2016. Trump has been very good for them (and other publications).
ReplyDeleteComrade, I think that you are right. The head of CNN said something exactly along those lines, that he didn't know if Trump was going to be good for the country but he sure was good for CNN's bottom line.
