Well, what Borepatch said above.

I saw our society start really declining around 1992, with it 'rapidly disassembling (as they say in the rechargeable battery industry' somewhere in the spring of 2008.

Certain sections of our society seem to be on an exponential decline, while others seem to be on a geometric decline, and there are some segments that are getting better, maybe.

Society is dead when the right of self-defense is disallowed.

No long... Civilization is ONLY a veneer on society. Without a means to defend it, anarchy is going to take over.

Government starts to unravel after the number of people actively hostile to it passes the 10% threshold.
