As an official Kentucky Colonel, Ambassador of Good Will, I feel obligated to highlight products from the Great State of KY.
The Queen Of The World remembers Earl Pitts, Uhmerikun on the radio. She could always tell who was listening to the show during rush hour because people would be laughing their heads off in the traffic jam.
Burbank was hysterical!! This was one of his best gags, but another favorite was when Gilbert called one of those "1-900 Friends" lines, where people would talk and make you feel cool, and charge you $2.99/minute to do so?* Their job was to keep you on the line for as long as possible. "Gilbert" was such a clueless, annoying idiot he got them all to hang up on him!
ReplyDeleteBurbank opened a chain of barbecue restaurants in the 80s-90s. I worked at one of them, in Fairborn, Ohio It was pretty good barbecue, all done up with Gary's humor. Great cornbread, crummy job (but I ate well).
