Blade Runner 2049

I liked it. Went with friends and we all liked it. A good story, with complexity, enough depth to provoke discussion. But as someone else once said about a different movie, "It's a great two hour movie shoehorned into three hours."

I thought Ryan G was a failure as a lead actor, but that is a result of his part, ie, a replicant. The sound level of the special effects was 3 orders of magnitude over the top. net : thumbs down

I liked it too but didn't think it was too long at all. There were a whole bunch of sub-plots that could have been the basis for movies of their own. For me it was a refreshing change from Hollywood's usual dreck like Broke Butt Mountain, feminist ghost busters and Mad Maxine. :)

I felt the original was beautifully filmed with a wonderful soundtrack but a middle of the road story. I liked watching it the first time but fell asleep on it the second time.

The sequel followed in it's footsteps with beautiful cinematography, a wonderful soundtrack, and a middlin' story. Also too long by about thirty minutes. It will be awhile before I give it another try.

My wife and I had been talking about seeing it, but hadn't really decided. I think you just bumped us to more likely.

To be honest, I like good cinematography, and as far as "great story" goes: it's a comic book. I don't expect literature.

I expect a movie, not "theater".
