Sure, sure - you can trust what you read in the media

Hmmm, let's see.  You have some sort of "Mysterious Space Debris".  Is there someone that you might call to get an expert opinion about Space?

It's a mystery, that's for sure.

But whoever labelled that thing obviously has a sense of humor.

  4. Having been the investigator in charge of some major, shall we say "smoking hole biohazard incidents" I can assure you that the media only has the details correct about 20% of the time. That's Fox. Cnn's batting a Zero.

On the serious stuff, with multiple 3 letter agencies involved, it's about 5%
And no "there's not a "t" in my name..

  5. I'd probably discuss it with Art Bell...
    Or a Space Cadet...

  6. I learned to despise the media (specifically CNN) in the Army overseas. Every single event that they reported was not only wrong, but the direct opposite of the truth. They give aid and comfort to our enemies, and openly act as their spies.

CNN shares offices and reporters in the Middle East with Al Jazeera. That's really everything you need to know about them.

  7. That looks a whole lot like a photo of the debris from Space Shuttle Columbia re-entering the atmosphere.

I was living in Southeast Texas when that happened. I remember those pictures well.
