Where my crash pad was, the only grocery nearby was WalMart. I was there one night in the produce section and this older fellow next to me (as I picked up a couple of Idaho bakers) said, "are those potatoes?" I said, "yes, indeed they are". He said "the sign says "onions". I told him, "the sign is wrong these are potatoes". He said, "I'm not going to buy any, I was sent to get taters and if I come home with onions the wife is going to be pissed."
Seems like a hyphen would help. I just can't decide whether they should be "ripe-ass avocados" or "ripe ass-avocados".

ReplyDeleteThose are Del Monte avocados and not Hass ..... and they don't look particularly ripe.... maybe 3 more days
