No surprise here. The final line on the game was New England by 3.5. They had to win by a touchdown to beat the spread.
They did have an amazing comeback...
If they had gone for a field goal, the rules said that the Falcons would have been given the ball and a chance to tie the score. Only a TD would seal the game.
Only a TD would beat the spread. That's the important thing.
Made me smile. I didn't care about the game except that all the right people hate Brady. So I was dissapointed as it closed into the point where the web site I was checking the score said the Pats had 1% chance of winning. Then all hell broke lose and I regretted not watching the game.
