Why is there so many successful cyber attacks?
It seems that the cost of a breach is a lot lower than people have been saying, and so it is a rational business decision to under invest in cyber security. The implication is that we can expect more successful attacks.
People typically don't die when their credit card record is hacked. Yes, a driver has already died in a self-driving car - but the blame was laid on the driver. Wait until people start getting killed by their self-driving cars and the blame starts being laid on the cars being hacked. When evidence is available to prove it - such as a blackhat saying "this is how I killed those guys" and his claim is verified...
Maybe the costs are low - so far.
