Beating the Drum of Obviousness

I could not rouse myself to write the post. It's been said over and over. However, Too Old To Work picked up the slack.
"The inanimate object is not the weapon. The malice in the heart and mind of the murderer is the weapon, what tool he uses to carry out his plan is not that important."
We have opened the gates to the horde. Blogging is what we do while we wait to see how long it takes.

This time around, I don't think it's going to take very long...

We need to do better than this, though. The next argument out of their mouths will be "yes, but the malice of heart and mind only manages to stab six with a knife, not kill 50 with a military style assault weapon, if that weapon isn't available to him."

NO gun grabber I've ever met has disagreed with the idea that a bad person is who hurts the victim, they simply argue that since it's impossible to stop every bad person, shouldn't we deny him effective weapons to manifest his I'll intent?

These argumentS can be countered, but the guns don't kill people, people kill people argument is weak, and easy to beat.
