I'm in the same boat as Wendy . . . . auto update. I did find on the MS tech pages a way to rollback from 10 to 7, which I was previously running.
Anyone know if there's a "downside risk" to rolling back to 7? I haven't installed any new anything since the Win 7 --> Win 10 fiasco of last week. Thanks . . .
I've been using the "GWX Control Panel" on all the Win 7 machines I take care of.
ReplyDeleteI used to do it by hand, weeding out and blocking the various updates, but an automated tool frees me up to get on with other things.
Using GWX also.
ReplyDeleteA few days ago my computer "upgraded" to 10 all by itself. I came back and saw that it was converting to Windows 10.
ReplyDeleteSure, NOW you tell us! :-)
ReplyDeleteI did the 'upgrade', but used your recommendations to increase security.
So far - so good.
Also, am trying Vivaldi browser.
Works okay.
