I understand what the U.S. laws in regards to the bald eagle are; but this happened in Canada - unless we've forcibly annexed Ontario and everyone in both countries didn't notice, or care!
I once tried to rescue a big horn sheep, a ram, that had the curl of his horn caught in some fence wire. "Not gonna happen", heh. He went apeshit when we get near him. We finally figured to simply cut the wire. Fortunately it was not barbed. He staggered off, very tired from kicking and pushing...
It was not too far from the East Gate of Yellowstone.
Yeah, watch the feds track them down and cite them for harassing wildlife.
