I am now an empty nester

#2 Son moved out yesterday. It's odd not to have either of the boys there - they've been a daily fixture for over two decades.

It's an oddly liberating feeling ...

    Our girls moved out & got an apartment together, so we went from four to two in a day. It was as you described.

    It's weird how you both miss them and feel excited about new possibilities at the same time.

    I went from 4 in the house to 2 in the house in the course of 4 months. Not sure what happens next.
