They can have my bacon when thy pry it from my cold, dead fingers

Now they're saying that bacon can kill:
As predicted last week, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has classified processed meat as "carcinogenic to humans".

The decision is based on the findings of 22 experts from 10 countries working with WHO's cancer tentacle the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).

Having reviewed the "accumulated scientific literature", they concluded there was "sufficient evidence in humans that the consumption of processed meat causes colorectal cancer", as the press release (PDF) puts it.
The WHO can kiss my butt.

  1. Yep, from my cold dead hands... IF, big IF that was true, then half of the American population should have colorectal cancer already... sigh

  2. Please light my cigarette and pass the bacon. Why? 'Cause I like 'em.

  3. Just remember: G-D *invented* bacon.

I'll put my faith in G-D before I put it into ANY "international agency" - especially one with members from France...

  5. WHO and bacon, one is the precursor to something that wants to crawl up your ass and consume you from the inside out and the other is a tasty pork product my grandfather made in the North awest Georgia mountains from hogs

  6. I have a little tinge of disbelief any time an "Organization" makes a conclusion. Organizations are run by people who believe strongly in their being right, despite the relative un-enthusiasm of their rulies for their leaders concepts.
In other words, its always the nuts who run things.

  7. Undoubtedly from the same folks who believe 'climate change' and the green, vegetarian, socialist political agenda tied to it!

  8. It's probably not a terrible idea to eat bacon in moderation, but given the centuries upon centuries that we've been eating nitrite cured meat and smoke cured meat, I seriously doubt that we're facing a holocaust as a result of them.

But seriously : moderation, gang. Bacon isn't health food. It isn't good for you. Take it easy.

Heart surgery sucks ass. Ask me how I know.

  9. Or is this report just to appease another overwhelming, dominating culture sweeping the world?
