Quote of the Day: Baltimore riots

From the Orioles Executive VP:
That said, my greater source of personal concern, outrage and sympathy beyond this particular case is focused neither upon one night’s property damage nor upon the acts, but is focused rather upon the past four-decade period during which an American political elite have shipped middle class and working class jobs away from Baltimore and cities and towns around the U.S. to third-world dictatorships like China and others, plunged tens of millions of good hard-working Americans into economic devastation, and then followed that action around the nation by diminishing every American’s civil rights protections in order to control an unfairly impoverished population living under an ever-declining standard of living and suffering at the butt end of an ever-more militarized and aggressive surveillance state.
Go read the rest, which is just as good.  And remember that tonight's Orioles game will be played in an empty stadium.

  1. Well what do you know? Two plus two really does equal four! It seems strange to hear an East Coast metropolitan mayor say it though.

  2. Dave H, he's not a Mayor, he's an executive in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

  3. Well...a bunch of black baboons burning down their own city will certainly help the situation won't it? Maybe they should turn to their idiot president for an answer then?

And no thanks, I will pass on your koolaid too, BP. My grandparents lived through the Dirty 30's. Grampa road around on the roofs of trains with all the other bums looking for work. He lived in flop houses, slept under the stars and NOT ONCE did he or the men he travelled with feel the need to riot - even though they lived in poverty that made that of the black morons in Baltimore look like opulence and luxury.

From where I sit, this isn't about jobs or politics or even race. It's about niggers acting like niggers. And - if they don't want to be called niggers then they shouldn't act like them.

I've had enough, the political correctness doesn't cut it anymore. I accept and acknowledge my status as an enemy combatant in the pending culture and race wars where I do not fit into any of the accepted victim and special interest groups. Nor will I abide the breach of my civil rights by those groups. Dr. King will have his wish - I will judge his kids by the content of their character and not the colour of their skin - and what I'm seeing in Baltimore...I ain't impressed. Vibrants will not want to do that in MY neighbourhood.

  5. Wow Glen, I am used to the comments being a little more high brow around here. Any chance I would take your post seriously was destroyed rather early on.

  6. Anybody remember Mr. Angelos railing against the political elite when those political elite were spending the taxpayers' money to build his team a stadium?

  7. BTW, the Orioles won the fan-less game 8-2. They are considering keeping fans away any time they really need a win.
