This is what happens when you try to hijack a plane

Pro tip: don't do that then.  And well done to the passengers who took the guy down.  It seems like he was a fruitcake, and bravo to Our Heroes for not beating him to death.

  1. I was in NYC last year, and I made a statement to the people I was there visiting with, saying that the TSA is unnecessary because passengers will never again sit idly by while their plane is being hijacked and wait for the government to rescue them. I said that the TSA was an unneeded infringement on our liberties.
I was told that I wasn't one of the people that had to be inconvenienced by the attacks on 9-11, so my opinion didn't count.
    This case proves me correct.

  2. Divemedic - That is actually becoming a very common argument tactic these days - "You didn't have any personal experience with it so you don't get to have an opinion."

The big one that is being used at the moment is the dismissal of the opinion of certain groups because of "privilege".

Your opinion doesn't count. Your experiences don't matter. You need to "check your privilege" and just shut up because you don't have any personal experience with what is being discussed...

It's lazy and stupid, and I'm really sorry that it gets as much play (and RESPECT!) that it does.

  3. How can anyone say "you weren't inconvenienced by the attacks on 9-11"? Shoes PC's Keychain mounted pen knives....
    TSA Pornoscanners.

That'd be a really big argument from me about that little thing
