Transforming America

The BATFE is going to ban the sale of M855 ammunition, the .223 green tip ammo that is commonly sold for use in AR-15s. There will be a hearing period and then after they have heard from everyone, it will be gone.

We lose by inches.

Interesting. How does a tax agency develop the power to create law? They have been doing it for many years, but as you say, they simply chip away until they achieve their agenda.

I actually prefer soft-point ammo. the likely expansion in "heads and hips" (or "grins and groins", as I like to call it) should cause sufficient trauma. A number of fellow vets I know who have been in combat will be happy for their brothers in arms if this ends up applying to those stationed in the Sandbox.

That won't happen, though. Less effective ammo like this round which pokes a tiny hole and often doesn't do much damage on its way through, especially when it's a jihadi in cotton clothing and a sheepskin jacket (or whatever they wear over there, I've never been there) is just what Barry the Bathhouse Boy wants. Face it - damn near every military man or woman is an infidel, and while he certainly isn't a practicing muslim, he _does_ have his nose buried deeply within the crack of mohammed's backside. Damn, I wish I could draw. It would be a fun cartoon, especially posted on the lampposts all around the White House.

I imagine they will go the "armor piercing" route, with no explanation of how there have been no great number of deaths in our country from this round. Barry must be planning ahead, when the forces under his control who are willing support him in _spite_ of the Constitution will be at risk of a populace that is armed with ammunition that can penetrate kevlar.

Forget gold and silver as a commodity of exchange. Stock up on ammo instead, as it _will_ be a high value commodity, for barter and for defense.

Yeah, that we do, one 'small' step at a time...

And 855 is NOT considered armor piercing by the military...

Never said they did, NFO. Only the limp dicks of the Left and our government (but I repeat myself) claim it to be armor piercing, just as they did with those old Nyclad handgun rounds when they first came out.

But I'll be quite surprised if the BATF doesn't use "armor piercing - you know, it's got that little steel thingy up front" as the justification for denying civilian purchase of the round.

BTW, if I had it to do over again, I would would choose P-3's instead of S-2's. Although what little I've seen of the S-3 Vikings made them look like they might have been fun.

All laws and regulations evaporate when the economy crashes.

Things are going to get A LOT worse. Anyone who has been paying attention sees that the wheels are coming off, and when large governments with nearly unlimited police powers begin to unravel, that government tends to become very authoritarian.

The decline is accelerating. I keep wondering when it will be time to stop blogging, so that one is not caught up in the purges.
