Oh boy

Potential bone infection. Looks like I'll have daily I/V antibiotics for six weeks.

Get a motorcycle, they said.

It will be fun, they said.

  1. Oy! I hope that it stays at "potential".

  2. What he said. There should be a rule against having so much fun.

  3. I once had a tree fall on me while I was riding a motorcycle (in N. Thailand). Motorcycles are very dangerous.

  4. Very sorry to hear that, hope you get better soon.

  5. Hey, man...at least you still got both legs. Bright side, bright side.

And when you get healed up, we'll have to get together for a road trip.

  6. Well, that sucks. At least they caught it early, at the "potential" level.

  7. Well, at least you know now what's going on. Follow the instructions and get better!

  8. That does suck. Hope you get it knocked out quickly.

  9. Well they said bicycles were dangerous, and they were right. I was riding my bike on a bike path and I got distracted by an extremely tall, extremely well built young lady on roller blades and she was wearing spandex that might have been a size smaller than she needed. When I went off the path I got only minor scrapes.

    See everything is dangerous!

When you mention the collarbone I reach up and feel lump on my right collarbone. Vespa motor scooter. And I was a lot younger.

    Take care.

  12. I bought a bike a year ago and never regretted it.

    Good luck.

  13. Six weeks!! The joys of a PICC line await you. Been there, can't regret it since I survived...

Keep up your spirits - I hear a tot of rum via the PICC line is a real snorter!

    Warmest regards

  14. Did they mention what sort of infection it potentially is?

  15. OUCH!

Hope the docs get it knocked out quick.

  16. Get well sooner than later and I am hopeful that the potential infection is not an infection at all.

  17. Hey, you're still with us!
And I, for one, is grateful.

  18. I think it's time to give up your dream of being an Ultimate Fighting champion...

  19. Please take care of yourself!

And yes, as someone mentioned up above, ask about a PICC line. Daily antibiotics through a regular IV are torture (had to do it myself years ago...burnt all my veins before 2 weeks were up).
