A real apology? Nah. He still tries to steal valor in how he characterizes it.
"...in a following helicopter..." he says as though it were right behind, and not an hour later. Only 12 years later does he admit to his lie. He probably only admitted it because the posse of truth was on its way.
What a contemptible individual.

Lack of integrity. Time to find someone else to "read the news" NBC.

Regrets only because he got caught lying.

Which leads to the obvious question of "who else at NBC is telling/has told what other lies?" (not to mention CBS, ABC, CNN, et al).

I suspect that would be a couple of rather long lists....

Nosmo, considering the lineup of "journalists" at NBC, the question that needs to be asked is "Who at NBC is telling actual truths on the air?"

I'd lump ABC and CBS into the same pile of dung, both for directly lying to the American people and for lying *through omission* to the American people.

But then, NBC, ABC, and CBS are strongholds of liberal "thinkers" who use lies, omission, and distraction in an attempt to deflect criticism from Democrat-run administrations. They use the exact same tactics to *direct* criticism *to* Republican-led administrations.

Journalism has become propagandizing. Goebbels is smiling.
