What You Can See Coming

If the President Leader can ignore laws, the Constitutional system, and his own Oath of Office to grant amnesty to people who entered the country illegally, and Congress responds to this by adjourning for the holiday, what's to stop him from do the same thing with any other pesky issue that gets in the way, like gun control?

No telling what he will do in the next two years.

My best and most careful answer is past is the best indicator of our "future". :-(

That path would be interesting. I wouldn't put it past him to start thinking that if he can get away with the immigration thing - and that will depend on whether or not the new Congress accepts the unconstitutionality of his action - that there are other areas he will feel he can use his magic wand on.

Guns would be The Big One, but there are probably enough other things he believes he could do via imperial pronouncement that critical mass would be reached well before he worked through the alphabet to "G", and that mass, once in motion, would pay no attention at all to whatever Congress did or did not do.

The UN plans to implement the Arms treaty on Dec. 24th. John Kerry has already (illegally) signed it. Obama is poised to sign it, and since he is getting away with amnesty he will sign it, no matter that all treaties must be ratified by congress. Never mind that this treaty goes against our constitution. He is pretty sure that the cowardly congress will not stop him. Lock and load, people.

I wonder if he's not actually trying to kill respect for law among the normally law-abiding. Once he's got the majority of the country following his example and blatantly ignoring the law, he's got a pretty good argument for even more executive action.

I wonder who will be the real strong man who steps up to take the reins once they discard Obama, his puppet.

And I'm not sure there's a tinfoil hat involved in this speculation.
