And Yet, They Can Vote

The U.S. Park Service has issued a warning to people visiting the Taylor Creek Visitor Center near Lake Tahoe. Don't take selfies with bears.
And yet so many #bearselfies are coming out of this part of California that the U.S. Forest Service is threatening to shut the Taylor Creek Visitor Center down. An agency spokesperson told the Reno Gazette-Journal, "We've had mobs of people that are actually rushing toward the bears trying to get a 'selfie' photo."

I have no problem with those who are at the shallow end of the gene pool weeding themselves out. Plus it gives the bears a nice snack before winter hibernation.

Don't shut the Center down. Consider from the perspective of a self correcting problem.

The bears will kill some people....

And then the people will kill the bears.

IT won't be the bears fault == but they will pay.

We need more "selfie" control!

Quick, let's write some common sense laws!

Better idea: let's let the bears vote.

If the bears eat the idiots. Aren't they voting?

I never understood the impulse to protect sentient adults from their own stupidity.

I am absolutely dead serious when I say that perhaps the best solution to the this problem would be to allow the bears to attack a few of the morons as an example, since warnings, education, and outright threats of legal action don't seem to be good enough.

I don't really care about the fact that a bear that attacks a person will need to be killed. I shoot bears for sport, so for one to die for an actual good cause, like instilling, through hard lessons, common sense into a population that has become so privileged and soft and unable to comprehend reality, that they will approach a 350 pound apex predator with a sour disposition for a photo op.
