Cool old car

Seen three years ago at the Owl's Head, Maine car show.  Didn't get the make/model, blast it all.

  1. Looks like an early 50's MG TF Midget. Around 52 or 53 IIRC.

  2. I'll go with TF also. Look at the rear end. THOSE were the days.

  3. Is that a Toots blower I see stuffed in there?

  4. The TF had its headlights faired into the fenders and the radiator slanted back a few degrees. TCs had big spindly wire wheels. It is a TD alright.

  5. TD, looks like a period correct Shorrock supercharger... I have a 50 in here right now, Judson blower, 5 speed conversion, MGA ring and pinion in the original diff case... It is so much quicker/faster than a stock TD, we had to fit some MGA front disc brakes.(Bolt on, so nothing permanently altered) Guy drives the wheels off of it.
