In Spring, a young man's thoughts softly turn to ...

A proper ale.  Wells Bombadier, recommended for those who are not satisfied by Miller Light.

  1. A good choice ..... maybe try a Boddington's Pub Ale if you can find it. Creamy smooth.

  2. That stuff knocks Boddies into a cocked hat....now Greene King Abbot Ale... a true competitor to Charlie Wells' best. Dad and I would pick the Fox because it was only a quarter mile up the road. It had Charles Wells ales, but of a summer evening we'd walk the 2.5 miles to Odell for Greene King IPA or Abbot because...well because beer.

  3. I have been enjoying Yards Brewing Co.'s Jefferson's Tavern Ale recently. It's reputed to be based on Jefferson's own recipe.

Tröeg's Brewing, out of Hershey, has a couple of really nice ales.

  4. This is quite a nice beer; I always have it with fish and chips on a friday night.
