That stuff knocks Boddies into a cocked hat....now Greene King Abbot Ale... a true competitor to Charlie Wells' best. Dad and I would pick the Fox because it was only a quarter mile up the road. It had Charles Wells ales, but of a summer evening we'd walk the 2.5 miles to Odell for Greene King IPA or Abbot because...well because beer.
What? No link to "Shropshire Lad #62"?
ReplyDeleteA good choice ..... maybe try a Boddington's Pub Ale if you can find it. Creamy smooth.

ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying Yards Brewing Co.'s Jefferson's Tavern Ale recently. It's reputed to be based on Jefferson's own recipe.
ReplyDeleteTröeg's Brewing, out of Hershey, has a couple of really nice ales.
This is quite a nice beer; I always have it with fish and chips on a friday night.
