    Young earth creationists aka YECs will immediately jump on this and say it shows the Bible is right and cite Genesis 7:11 without giving any thought to the ramifications.

    I find this pattern to be annoying. Oh and, yes, I am a YEC myself but that doesn't mean I follow the same thought process.
