After the, ahem, debate I just had with our Windows programmer about security, user privileges, and passwords, I think I'm going to need more than a firewall to protect me from her. Good thing she's in the UK.
@Dave H: I have never met a windows security problem that could not be fixed with wire/cable cutters and enough thermite. ;)
At the Dallas infomart in the colo facilities downstairs there used to be a similar problem. I wont go into exacting detail, but lets say the guard, handprint scanner, card reader, walls, and cameras were all easily bypassed by the fact they were put there after the drop ceiling was. Yes, the cameras were at the same height as the drop ceiling. At 6'6 I could have stood upright in the plenum and walked from the lobby to my servers w/o anyone seeing me.
The infomart was not alone in this security "feature".
