I'm not so sure about the bacon jam however may I recommend Old Peculiar which was brewed down at Masham North Yorkshire. Best enjoyed with a beef and mushroom pie at the White Bear out the front of the brewery. It used to be a favourite haunt of Jethro Tull and they would play sets there to the small audience.
knottedprop, Old Peculiar was my favorite when we lived in Blighty. There was a Free House in Windlesham that had it on tap. That became our Local because of the beer.
Where is Fullers ESB on tap? PS the Camaro engine arrives Monday...should be good to run the car by mid July...subsequent trip to said pub and blog meet might be doable!
Oh... NICE! :-) Drool...
ReplyDeleteForsooth.

ReplyDeleteDiffer,
ReplyDeleteIf you're in greater Boston, many of the British Beer Company locations routinely have Fuller ESB on draught.

Differ, there's quite a selection of UK bitters. Mac McGee's pub on Canton St. in Roswell.
ReplyDeleteAnd a blogmeet is an excellent idea.
