Canned Heat trivia: the name came from a 1928 Tommy Johnson blues number about an alcoholic who took up drinking Sterno.

    A lot of metal bands stole the bass players head banging shtick.

    I've been telling my daughters for years that Canned Heat (and a few others) did it before ZZ Top. Of course, the Sharp Dressed Men are way old school, now.
