Science should show its work

This tells you where it got the data.

If you're as suspicious of the data as I am - that the data do not account for Urban Heat Island, that adjustments are almost always in the positive direction, etc - then it's possible that the temperature has actually declined in the last 16 years.

  1. I sent you an email titled "Global Coolening" a while back that suggested exactly that, but you never replied and never mentioned it on your blog...

  2. There was a summary of 33 years of NASA data on temps published back in 2011. Try a google search for:

"nasa satellite data 33 years global temperature"

for more articles. Here is a link to one in Reason:

    Thumbnail sketch . . . .

This system had been up for 33 years at the time. Measured the same earth point twice a day. Instrumentation was calibrated with on-board gear periodically. The result?

"The end of November 2011 completes 33 years of satellite-based global temperature data, according to John Christy, a professor of atmospheric science and director of the Earth System Science Center (ESSC) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Globally averaged, Earth’s atmosphere has warmed about 0.45 Celsius (about 0.82° F) during the almost one-third of a century that sensors aboard NOAA and NASA satellites have measured the temperature of oxygen molecules in the air."

Global warming??? MMMmmmm - not so much.

  3. But, but, I was told in yesterday's "news"paper that 2012 was the hottest year EVAHR! Are you somehow implying that I can't trust them? That they are manipulating public opinion to drive their policy that results in billions of dollars a year going towards their innocent little pockets?
