I wonder if the Administration can sweet talk the Russians to send their ships the DNC showed at the convention to avenge our dead Ambassador in Libya.  In all honesty, it's probably a better response than what we're likely to see.

  1. Think there was a news story a couple of weeks ago where Putin dispatched some of the Black Sea Fleet to Syria to "Protect Russian Lives and Interests." There is a small port on that sliver of Syria on the Med.

Meanwhile, it is my understanding that the only U.S. Navy vessels permanently stationed in the Med is a Command Ship.

For a Fleet with no Ships.

Because that would be "Stuck in Out-Moded Cold War thinking like Romney" if those Admirals actually had Warships.

  2. This is why your post yesterday is wishful thinking. We are past that. Bringing the troops home will not solve anything, protect anyone, or prevent further loss of life.

We are in this war. It will not go away. We cannot appease it away. We can only choose to surrender or choose to fight. If we don't choose to fight soon enough, we will have chosen to surrender, but whatever we choose, there will be more blood.

  3. While I abhor the way the war has been fought, ASM826 is right.

War is no place for political correctness; no place for "rules of engagement" that are more restrictive than what our local police live by.

You either win or lose. It is clear which side our leadership has chosen.

  4. So it has been three days now since you posted this: " In all honesty, it's probably a better response than what we're likely to see."

Oh how right you were and still are.
