I'd never heard of this band until last year when "Awake and Alive" hit radios. Apparently they've been around since 1996, not sure how I've missed them so long. I like 'em, and it doesn't have anything to do with the hot ass drummer or rhythm guitarist.
Liked it a lot. Need to get some of their music downloaded. (BTW, I am an official Old Fart, but I've always been a metalhead, despite looking as whitebread as can be.)
When I want pop sounds in my metal, I go to Devin Townsend, who (having been the driving force behind Strapping Young Lad) has nothing to prove w.r.t. metal or general musicianship.

Thanks! That reminds me to put the laser on my Sig P220ST! I'm with kx59, Official card coming any day now - never listened to metal or monster-music when it was popular - say, how about those B-52's? :-)
I gave part of it a listen.
ReplyDeleteMy comment is.."ow".
I'm officially old now. But!
My curmudgeon card should be arriving any day now!

Christian Band no less.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've seen them live three times, for those of us in this music genera they are not bad live.
Really like Alien Youth, for what it's worth. Has some really creepy sounding worship music on it.
