The easy way to get a great garden

They have a saying in England that it's terribly easy to get a magnificent lawn: just fertilize and roll every autumn for 200 years.  The same can be said for a rose garden, fertilize and prune every fall for twenty years.  Ours is just a year old, but it's already offering us the promise of the ages.

  1. Good to see a bit of Ovid doing the rounds. Sorry I missed the blogshoot -- church work got in the way...

  3. Ooo pretty :) Would you believe it's really hard to find potted rosebushes around here? All that's available are those stupid Knock Out Roses, which are pretty but don't smell right. (I know, I've got one by my front door.)
