Tired, so details later, but we had a blast at the Blogmeet. It was a good turnout, and I have shooty venues lined up in the next little while. The take away is that we need to do this regularly.
Also, I now have .303 Brit dies on order. Have to get bullets, primer and propellent now.
Tip for you bullets for both 7.62 russians work as they are 310/311 the 139grns makes a good short range plinking round out to 300 yds.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you'll have some ammo for the blog shoot. I'm stocking up on 12ga, slug and buck.
ReplyDeleteHad a blast as well. Looking forward to any blog shoots. :)
ReplyDeleteNote that primers and powder involve hazmat fees when shipped, so take that into account in pricing. There is a discussion in the Handloading Yahoo-group about vendors that combine primers and powder to reduce the fee impact.
ReplyDeleteWhich is why many ppl's pick a powder that burns in multiple calibers - one big jug ordered in bulk once a year is cheaper than six little jugs.
ReplyDeleteOf course if you are working up a load you might want to pick up several smaller jugs at the local gun store so as to have a nice variety without haz-mat fees.
