Time for a chill pill

Remember how the Left went lunatic, off the hook crazy about George Bush?  Remember how anything that he did - no matter how inconsequential - was proof positive that he was zomg the worstest President EVER!!!!eleventy!!!!

Remember that?  Remember how we used to roll our eyes at them?

The talk radio guys are all over the story of the Secret Service guys stiffing the Colombian hookers.  Was it tacky?  Sure - I'm sure that Mrs. Secret Service Agent is more than a little unhappy, and may even be (justifiably) making hubby sleep with Rover out in the back yard.  And OBTW, stiffing hookers is what I'd imagine to be considered tacky - you enter into a commercial transaction, you're tacky (at least) if you stiff the other party.

But for the life of me I can't see (a) how this compromised national security and (b) how this is Barack Obama's fault.  But boy, howdy the Talk Radio guys all thought it sure is.

Remember rolling your eyes at the Lefties when their hatin' on old Shrub went Old Testament?  That's what I'm doing to the Talk Radio guys right now.  Of course, maybe it's all because I'm not as smart as the talk radio guys.

I sure hope so.

Look, there's plenty not to like about the current President's policies.  But I'm completely at a loss as to what he did here.

  1. To understand how this compromises national security, one only need to look up the 'honeypot' to see how easy it is to use this sort of thing to get access to national security information.

With that said, I think this is more a problem with long term government employees than it is with Obama.

  2. The reaction of the left to Bush is exactly why there is this kerfuffle with obumbler.
The right is spewing their well earned venom towards the head of the Hydra.
But, I agree; it is a bit sophmoric.

  3. Divemedic, that's why the Secret Service has (I imagine) s security office that implements counter espionage polygraphs, etc. Been happening for decades.

  4. Divemedic mentioned one way in which this affair could affect national security. Here's another: I heard at least one report that some of the Secret Service agents involved were members of the current White House resident's own security detail, and either had copies of the security plans with them, or talked about said plans. That's exactly the kind of information a would-be assassin would find useful.

  5. I'm sure the talk radio guys are wrong. This is clearly Bush's fault.

  6. Welcome to the understanding that politics is a dirty game that both sides become the same in.

If you vote for a Republican, or vote for a Democrat, you've voted for the same person in the end.

The civil service, all those that do their job no matter which party is in power (the Secret Service among them), no one ever rails against them. Funny that, eh?

  7. I'm not a big gun person because the boom sticks hurt my ears and I can hear things that Lassie can, however this got my goat.....

At your own discretion obviously I suggest if you have an account everyone move to another bank. Vote with your business and send a message.

  8. BP : Problem being if the "Rules" are set by the Demos & we cede that ground to them, we lose. Hoist them on their own petards ... if Bush was responsible for Abu Ghraib / Katrina / Iraqi WMD / Haliburton / High Gas Prices / Drone Wars / the last THREE years of Obama ... well then f'm, Obama's responsible for some Secret Service types being very UNSECRET and not honoring a financial transaction between consenting adults.

    $800 for some strange? WTF?

  9. Hmm. I don't think it's President Obama's *fault*,at all. I do find it interesting that this is the current culture of the Secret Service; I wonder if it is due, or partly due, to the current resident. I find it very easy to believe that the Obamas would treat the SS like servants or serfs; that might explain such a massive breach in security.

But as for the president actually leading or encouraging whoring around -- well, c'mon, he's no JFK!

  10. I think the "reason" behind saying this is Obama's fault is that they're saying that the agents don't respect Obama, and therefore don't work as hard as they should.

Is it true? No idea. Any agent not working as hard as they should should be fired, preferably out of a cannon.

Let me state right now, for the official record: I DO NOT WANT ANY HARM TO COME TO BARACK OBAMA.

    Not now, not ever.

And not just because the thought of "President Biden" wakes me up screaming in the night.

  11. On a point of (dis)order: I'd have thought that 'stiffing' the other party was part and parcel of a transaction with a prostitute, no?

    ;-)

  13. This is a symptom of the culture of corruption of the Obama administration. Bring in a bunch of crooked Chicago politicans, go national, and see corruption like the GSA spending, NOAA extortion, Solyndra, Lightsquared, Fast and Furious, FNMA, GM bankruptcy Corzine... Any of which would have been reason for democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) to call for impeachment of GW Bush.

  14. The SS is under the Treasury Department. The head of the Treasury Department is an unrepentant tax cheater. Once the SS saw their boss could get away with committing crimes, they figured so could they.

  15. 1) Any of the bimbos having sex with the SS agents could have developed info on the President's movements that could have led to his demise (be still, my heart!)

    2) Cocaine was being used at the scene - do you really imagine only the hookers were using it?

    3) This attitude that morality is only in the mind of the beholder, and that it is no big deal if the SS boys fooled around on their wives is indicative of why things are so f*cked up at this time in our country. They are men and women who need to hold themselves to a higher standard of behavior, just as we were supposed to (and many of us did) when we were peace officers.

Blowing this off as if it is no big deal is the sign of a weak mind. Sorry, but that's a fact, not an opinion.

  16. I'm not saying this wasn't a security breach. I'm saying that I really can't see how this is Obama's fault.

There's plenty to blame him for without stretching for something here.

  17. I was going to say one should never use the words "stiffing" and "hookers" in the same sentence. Peter kind of beat me to it.

    Darned work.

  18. If the elite White House level security guys of the Secret Service turn out to be preverts, what does it say about rank and file badge-and-gun carriers of the TSA?

  19. Well maybe I am a prude, but here is how I see it.

Obutthole reamed out and fired his men for doing the same thing Bill Clinton did.

Then he sent the others over to harass Ted Nugent for making a bad joke.

That Kenyan poltroon will not be lecturing me on codes of conduct nor will I take orders from such men. For me America is on hold until it takes out the trash.
