Damn

Need more guns for the blogshoot.

I know that this qualifies as a ZOMG Arsenal!!!eleventy!! in the People's Republic of Massachusetts, but this is the Lone Star State.  The other, lesser States can do how they please, but a firearms collection this small in Texas is likely only owned by liberal gun banners.

Got to get some more guns ...

For those interested, the ones pictured (top to bottom) are Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk 1, Russian SKS, .22 cal. Winchester 190, Ruger 10/22, Citadel 1911A1-45CS in .45 ACP, Sig-Sauer P230 in .380.

    .22 rifle: check.
Add a shotgun and you've at least got a complete 4-gun survival set.

    Happy shooting!

  3. At home that's called a 'good start'... :-)

  4. Meh, you did just fine Borepatch. You could only fit so much in that trunk.
There was plenty more to tinker with anyway.
It was great meeting you and Mrs. Borepatch!

  5. I am so irritated that I missed this one. I had a few to bring for sure. I'm making the next one if I'm in the state.

  6. I think it came off as a huge success. It was great to meet y'all, and I had a terrific time.

Likewise, it was good to meet the local bloggers and lurkers who came out with their 'good toys' (RNE, I'm looking at you).

The look on your faces when you were shooting waaaay downrange with the FAL was worth the drive from anywhere. My best to you both!

Hope Mrs. B. found her Benadryl and is feeling better.

  8. Rabbit, those weren't the "good toys" =)
Good toys don't break right off the bat and require you to dig around in your truck bed to find random crap to get them up and running again. =)

  9. Maybe so, but when it went bang it was with Authoratah! It took 40+ rounds to dial in my FALs gas port today to feed, and it makes me glad I've got a lot less of that Aussie 7.62 to mess with and I'll go back to my stash of German and Guatemalan, which isn't nearly as picky.

  10. Rabbit, I <3 your FAL. I didn't get to shoot it, (it stayed pretty busy most of the time you were there), but it was sharp looking.

The Brazillian crap I was shooting was very problematic, but it did go bang eventually.

  11. Nick's was the wood-stocked FAL. I was envious over how finely figured old Eurotrash battle rifles can look in the modern era. Holler sometime and you're welcome to shoot mine.

  12. Yup, I was drooling over both yours and Nick's. I'm a fan of the FAL, and one of these days I may even build this FAL parts kit I've been sitting on.....

I may just take you up on your offer, Rabbit.
