The Moroccan recipes looked pretty good, though.
It is my habit to rate every recipe I cook, writing the date, grade, and notes directly into the cookbook.
My grading scheme:
Mourad’s bookbook is off to a good start.
- A – would definitely cook again
- B – has promise: adjusting my technique or following the recipe better might make this good enough to enter the permanent rotation
- C – meh. No intention of cooking again
- D, F – actively dislike this recipe
- chickpea spread: A
- roasted eggplant: A
- za’atar: A-
- flatbread: A

TJIC is back blogging, sort of
Not at his old blog, but food blogging at Foodie Douchebag. Lots of pictures and "how to", plus what looks like a useful (if non-scientific) metric:
Ah, shoot.
ReplyDeleteOuted.
I was hoping to come back to tjic.com in another month or two, in a big way, announce a few things, etc.
So, if we can all agree that I'm not "REALLY" back (hey, I still want a surprise party! ;-) , you can also check out another blog of mine here, dedicated to workshop stuff:

Hopefully, we'll see him back as he suggests!
ReplyDeleteBP . . . I've already proposed to JayG that on Jan. 19, in support of TJIC's 2A problem with the Arlington Popo . . . everyone go out and buy some 2A related stuff. Doesn't have to be a lot . . . just something 2A related to help support TJIC's struggle.
ReplyDelete- Brad
That would only work if we could surround the Arlington PoPo station with that stuff and demand TJIC get his guns back. A la Athens, TN.
