Muffole! Muffole! Muffole!

Well, it looks like Mittens has it all sewed up.  Oh, well - it's unlikely that I shall be disappointed*.  And 2cents is probably correct that Romney is the least scary Republican in the General election.  Newt?  Scary.  R0N P4U1!!1!? Heck, he scares me some of the time.  Mittens?  Aw, so cute and cuddly.

Oh, and the post title?  Well, a while back I said that Mussolini could beat Obama this year.

But "Duce" has a harsh, scary sound to it.  Romney is all cute and cuddly.  Maybe Simon Grey is right: Romney needs Game.

* Because my expectations are so pathetically low for him that it would be fail of truly epic proportions for him to, err, "exceed" them.

  1. Paul, in addition to his own supporters, is obviously benefiting from the protest voters who don't like Romney.

Romney, when it comes down to it, is a decent man, apparently has no skeletons in his closet, and is competent enough to make an effective president. The big point against him is the towering ambition that makes him want the job so much that he's willing to pander to nearly anyone in his quest to achieve it. If he had genuine conservative principles and subordinated his ambition to them, we'd be looking at another Reagan, or a man even better than Reagan, but that ambition is making him behave like a whore who worries that she won't have made enough money to satisfy her pimp. Ugly to see.

  2. I am not so sure. Mitt can bring back gun control for us, and can't go after Obamacare. . . .

I fear Mitt as much as Obama to tell the truth. and I don't think he can beat Obama.

  3. Romney was a gun control advocate in Massachusetts because that's what politicians do there. He's a smart enough man to know that gun control is a losing proposition nationally, and will pander accordingly. He's not as actively hostile to gun rights as Obama is.

    Except to the camps...

  5. Right now it seems like Romney is the least unappealing. My earlier comment on Ron Paul stands. He might be able to lead us into Mordor, but he's not someone I'd want to watch over me.

  6. I suspect we are headed to another hold your nose and vote event.
If you cannot bring yourself to do so, you get BHO for another four.
