The goal of National Ammo Day is to empty the ammunition from the shelves of your local gun store, sporting goods, or hardware store and put that ammunition in the hands of law-abiding citizens. Make your support of the Second Amendment known—by voting with your dollars!
There are an estimated 75 MILLION gun owners in the United States of America. If each gun owner or Second Amendment supporter buys 100 rounds of ammunition, that’s 7.5 BILLION rounds in the hands of law-abiding citizens!
Me, I scored 200 rounds of 7.62x39. Cheap, Commie mil-surp, steel jacketed, probably dirty as all get out. But it's 200 rounds. So that's like two people's worth of ammo!
So there's still time to do your part.
2000 primers. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteWell, the point is to deplete warehouses. I'd say that'd do it.
ReplyDelete;-)
Gee, I just got a thousand rounds of .223 that Cabelas had on sale for $300. But that was over a week ago. Guess I'd better get something else.
ReplyDeleteHere's something in today's email - great timing. $1 shipping at Bass Pro if you buy over $50 worth, which is pretty darned easy.
A case of 12ga AAs, 100 rounds of white box .45s and 1000 large pistol primers.
ReplyDeleteI'm picking up a couple hundred rounds of 9mm so that my Browning won't feel ignored.
ReplyDelete1000 PMC 9mm for my daughter.
ReplyDeleteI made 120 rounds of medium level 10mm, went and shot some of it along with some previous production. Came back with more brass than I shot, as usual.
ReplyDelete$200 worth of supplies to load .45-70 (about a hundred rounds - I had to buy brass) and another $200 in reloading equipment.
ReplyDeleteI hope next year it'll be cheaper. (grin)
120 rounds of various types of 12ga (need to test some stuff for 3gun) and 40 rounds of Hornady .308.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm slacking.
I did the best I could do. I loaded 324 rds of .45 acp and then bought a lightly used .223/5.56 AR rifle, 24" bull barrel, nice trigger etc. It also came with 432 rds of ammo. Yesterday, I went to to my local WalMart & bought their last box of .30 Carbine ammo.
ReplyDeleteNow all I need is the time to shoot all of this goodness.
There seems to be something off about that 7.62x39 round you show.
ReplyDeletePicked up 200 rounds of German surplus 7.62x51.
ReplyDelete1000 rounds of .22 and a box of Winchester 00 buckshot.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I stole the pic from Wikipedia.
