Good enough to hire, not good enough to marry:Mitt Romney tells us of how awesome things will be when he's President, and busy all implementing his 427 point Plan. Just don't think that the likes of you or I can sit at the master's table. We're good enough to hire, not good enough to marry.
Pat and I don't see eye to eye on a bunch of things, but this is God's own truth. When you go to vote for that Republican, just remember what they think of you.To the Republican Establishment, Tea Party people are field hands. Their labors are to be recognized and rewarded, but they are to stay off the porch and not presume to sit at the master's table.
And what O'Donnell did, with her amazing victory, is to imperil that Establishment's return to power. That is why these Republicans went ballistic.
Standing like a stone on the old plantation
The rich old man would have never let him in
Good enough to hire not good enough to marry
When it all happens nobody wins
Walk on, walk on alone
Walk on, walk on, walk on alone
Sorry, Mitt. I'm going with divided government, not with you.
Patprick Buchanan said something you agree with?
ReplyDeleteTime to rethink your position, I'd say.
What a great song.
ReplyDeleteNO! to Mitt.
Wolfwalker, Pat's comments excerpted here are spot on. Don't sit at Massah's table, and don't think you're good enough to marry his daughter.
ReplyDeleteI'm not prepared to let Perfect be the enemy of Good Enough for my side. I'll take Mitt over Obama if they're offering.
ReplyDeleteHell, I'll take the bag of cat leavings I just shoveled out of the basement sandbox over Obama.
He must have stolen it from somebody else, then. Pitchfork Pat hasn't had an intelligent thought in fifty years. He went over the edge the day he decided we shouldn't have gotten involved in World War II.
ReplyDeleteLook, barring a miracle, Romney is going to be the GOP candidate. You know it. I know it. There's nothing either of us can do about it as long as he has both the GOP Establishment and the media on his side. But I wonder if you've really let yourself realize yet that it doesn't make any difference at all. Zero, zip, nada, zilch. The last chance for this country to avoid financial disaster passed three years ago.
For three years, forty percent of the federal budget has been deficit spending, and that's the baseline budget now. Cutting bits around the edges won't help. Taxing the rich into extinction won't help either. Getting back to a balanced budget requires cutting forty percent of spending, or doubling revenue, or some combination of both. And we both know that ain't gonna happen.
So let Romney win. Or let Barry Lackwit win. It doesn't matter in the slightest. Ballots can't save us anymore.
