Bubba Smith, R.I.P.

Rick emails to say that Bubba Smith is dead at 66.  Rest in peace, and thanks for the memories.

    Yeah, he passed away the first week of August.

    We lost a good one. A true gentleman and an ambassador for the NFL before all these "celebration" dances and pimp-daddy entourages became necessary.

    I'm not a sports guy, but, everything I've heard about Bubba recalls he was indeed a true gentleman. He will be missed.
