Earworm
I've often said that one of the problems with Rock these days is that it just doesn't do love songs like it used to. That it's lost that lovin' feeling.
Well, Joe Satriani doesn't do this the old way, but it's quite a tender love song nonetheless. With some tender, shredding guitar.
Amazing guitarist Satriani is, but the lightning fast shred grows wearisome very quickly. It's all the same same same. Here's an Austin boy for ya, and he can sing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9sMTTd802k&feature=related I've seen Eric Johnson live, and it was the same thing. He just ripped it up, but it got boring really quick.

ReplyDeleteCan you think of a lover's quarrel that didn't get old REALLY fast?
Every time I hear that song I think of a young couple bitching at each other.
Heh, and it makes glad I'm single. :P
I'm a fan of Satriani. One of the finest guitarists alive today and among the best period. I never get tired of a good riff.
