Strange fascination

Sarah Palin's at it again.  Which means making all Right Thinking People® fume.  They hate her with the fire of a thousand suns, but they can't stop looking.

What is it about her?  Is the a genius?  Or not?  Or are these even the right questions?

What a strange attraction she has for some people.  They claim to be repulsed, but can't bring themselves to look away.  Few creatures have captured our imaginations like Sarah Palin ...

  1. Sarah Palin a "creature?" More like Sarah Plain. Plain spoken Sarah Plain. Who makes many nervous but has captured our attention by saying what most Americans think.

Is that genius? Perhaps, but that is unproven.

What is plain about Sarah is that she puts the fear of God in the political left. A group that has spared no pains to discredit her.

But so far all the lefties have done is prove themselves petty, illiterate, ignorant of history, and innumerate beyond human comprehension.

    Stranger

  2. I think that like most people, the media are a bunch of rubberneckers who can't look away from the accident on the side of the road.

I really don't care for Palin, not because of her politics, but because she's just too dang 'bubbly'. It's hard to really take her seriously when her voice sounds like an over the top, happy prom queen.

Yes, it's petty, I know but there it is.

  3. The left "fears" Palin the way you and I "fear" Bill Ayers, or Jeremiah Wright: Every time they open their mouths in public, they hurt their own side. They and their views repulse us, but every time they speak up, we publicize their lunatic remarks. Nothing strange about that at all.

I'm ignoring Palin as hard as I can. I wish to hell the rest of the world would do the same.

  4. I don't get the medias fascination with her either, they've attempted to demonize her and even her entire family (is that child REALLY Bristol's?). I think they are attempting to make the public think she represents ALL Republicans.

What I do admire about her is that she chose to birth and raise that special needs child rather than abort (i.e. kill) it. Her sister already had such a child, so it wasn't like she didn't know what she was getting herself into. To me, that speaks of character - she did not shirk her duty as a mother - she chose the hard choice.

  5. She doesn't just upset people on the left but people on the right too. Living inside the beltway, I get to run into a lot of the GOP party types and they don't like her. Which makes me want her to be elected even more. She upsets the establishment political class no matter the party affiliation, and I'm all for that.
