What's really funny about that top cartoon is that it's nearly identical to a cartoon that Cincinnati editorial cartoonist Jim Borgman did in 1980 ... about how Jimmy Carter was being much more "military" in his 1980 campaign than he was in his 1976 campaign.
Actually, the view should be of the baby behind the driver's wheel, while the rest of us poor sots huddle in the backseat -- we're stuck going along for the ride.
