As depressing as "abandoned library" is, the thought of FREE BOOKS is a nice counter.

ReplyDeleteIt's one thing to close down a library. That happens all the time. Budget cuts, resource reallocation, and whatnot. It's not like it's the last library we've got, or the best one either.

If the Detroit library system has nowhere else to put those books, I'm sure there are a lot of other libraries that would be happy to have them.
The Detroit Library isn't about BOOKS. It's about PENSIONS and union jobs.
