This cartoon represents precisely what I see as the tea parties' development. They were fledging little children, who needed the care (money and publicity) from conservatives. The TP's grew into surly teenagers, as in, "you're not the boss of me!" and thus voting for Christine O'Donnell. Now as the equal partner, they have become the alpha. Fascinating!
