I suppose you don't have a ton of Operations Research folks on staff, so maybe I can help. The Delta terminal at Boston/Logan (Terminal A) had four security check-in lanes open. The Delta terminal in Atlanta had four security check-in lanes open.

Hint: check how many Delta flights depart Logan each day. Check how many flights depart Atlanta. The solution to the mystery of the long, long lines in Atlanta is somewhere in there.
