The stuff that hits the fan ...

... is probably not going to be evenly distributed. Things are interesting in the Middle East right now, and how the outcome gets distributed is becoming visible, for those who know how to look.

The Czar of Muscovy knows how to look, and gives the play-by-play:
Here is the twelve-step program up until today:

1. Saudi Arabia announces that Israel has flyover rights to take out Iran—if Israel wanted to, for whatever reason—anytime they want. Check!

2. Egypt announces that Israel’s navy has access to the Suez Canal...you know, in case they wanted to get some cruise missile submarine platforms to the Persian Gulf. For whatever reason. Check!
You should really read the whole thing. Or you can wait to read in the papers about how Israel took out the Iranian reactors.

  1. Went and read it. Not convinced. There's at least one gigantic, glaring hole in his theory: he ascribes intelligence and diplomatic savvy to the numbwits currently running US foreign policy. If the Bitch Queen at State was actually in charge I might believe it, but as long as it's Joe the Gaffe-Master and Barry Lackwit at the reins, not a chance.

  2. Wolfwalker is victim of the fallacy of foreign policy egocentrism by thinking that American is responsible and behind all of this. Nowhere is this claim made in my narrative of events.

If anything, Israel is calling the shots here, and America is playing a distant third behind Russia.

All events referenced in the narrative can be found in popular media; there is nothing requiring conviction.

  3. I have no doubt that if the Israelis feel that going in is the right thing to do, then they will do it. Interesting times, indeed.

  4. Czar, your points 4, 7, and 10 all require active involvement in the ongoing plan by Lackwit and his minions. He's such a self-centered narcissist that I can't see him going along with a master plan developed by others; such a far-left naif that I don't think he'd go along with any military strike plan; and so spectacularly incompetent that even if he did play along, he'd find a way to blow it.

  5. Joe Biden *didn't* say what he said? The President *did* deploy the east European missile shield? Number 10 I could agree on, if only the other events didn't happen. Additionally, it appears that the US is involved as new events of the last 24 hours (here and in Israel, as well as Iranian and even Iraqi reaction) are showing. And yes--I do think he'll blow it. But we appear to be more than casually involved.

  6. I'm not sure I understand, Czar. Did you or did you not intend to imply that Biden's gaffe and Lackwit's canceling the missile shield were intentional steps they both took in direct, conscious, intentional support of a complex plan for Israel to move against Iran's nuclear program?

  7. I think they're aware that they're playing a part that has been scripted for them. The evidence was pretty clear.

Apologies for the confusion, but it appears your first comment could be summarized "this can't be happening because there's no way the current administration could mastermind this." I believe it's possible that others could have, and indeed, the evidence is very much coming together in that direction. Your second comment appears to say that some key players weren't involved in things that, in fact, they were very much involved in.

I can say this. Events over the weekend are unquestionably showing that there is very much a concerted international effort to back Iran into a corner--Israel in particular is being pretty open about how it's come about. *Nearly* in line with my hypothesis, although there is clearly more evidence that the goal is to starve Iran first with sanctions before hitting them with Israel's military for a variety of complex reasons.
