Nothing I could write would improve on that sentence, part the fourth

Via TJIC, we find Camille Paglia bringing the smart:
By a proportion of something like 10-to-1, negative articles by conservatives were vastly more detailed, specific and practical about the proposals than were supportive articles by Democrats which often made gestures rather than arguments and brimmed with emotion and sneers. There was a glaring inability in most Democratic commentary to think ahead and forecast what would or could be the actual snarled consequences
Smart lady. That sound that you hear is Daniel Patrick Moynihan spinning in his grave.

  1. My theory:

This is because conservatives can be open about what they "believe" and about what their plans and goals are. Even though they are painted as "right wing extremeists" by the media - they actually reflect the morals and ideals of the majority of Americans. We can put the details in, because we don't have to hide them.

On the other hand, the liberals agenda and the tactics necessary to achieve their goals, is so antithetical to most US citizen's personal belief system that they HAVE to hide the actual details of their plans.

If the public at large were to see the "big picture" in regards to Liberal Politics - and the true cost of those policies to them in both money, loss of freedom, degradation of lifestyle.. there would be the largest mob of pitchfork and torch bearing bitter-clingers the world has ever seen.
