The world's oldest inhabited cities

They're old. Not old like where I live, founded three centuries ago (pretty old for the US of A).

A hundred centuries of people living there.

Almost makes me feel like a young whippersnapper.

Hat tip: TJICistan.

  1. Some friends of my parents, visiting from Norway a few years back, casually mentioned Trondheim was have it's "anniversary" - for being 1,000 years old. Sheesh, youngsters.

  2. I spent a few weeks in Denmark. While I was there I had lunch in a 500 year old restaurant. Were you the one who said, in the US 100 years in old, and in Europe 100 miles is a long way?

  3. Jim, I do like that expression, but I didn't come up with it.
