What happens when you change your mind?

Lissa hits another one out of the park. Again.
But once you flip, how do you go back?

Once you decide that most soldiers are upstanding, decent, intelligent people, and every soldier you’ve met nicely supports that assumption, how do you go back to thinking they are children who can’t think for themselves and are being exploited by the neocons?

....

And more importantly . . . if you could go back, would you want to?
If you, like me, used to find yourself on the left side of the spectrum, go read it. Right now.

  1. Of course I'd want to go back! Oh wait, do I want to be 20 years old again and have to learn all over again that people will bite the hand that feeds them?

    Darnit.

Ignorance is bliss though. It's the age-old question: would you rather be ignorant and happy, or wise and bitter?

Personally, I go back and forth on the rather-ing, but I'vefound it hard to defer to ignorance once the light was visible. Stupid logic and sensibility...curses!

  2. This is the question that launched a thousand novels.
