35 years ago, I worked with a guy who put in his two weeks notice and then figured he'd be a royal F*&k up. Don't think I ever knew why, but I recall folks saying, "What are they going to do? Fire him? He already quit."
Well, they walked him out about a full week ahead of the last day in his notice. I think he got an extra week off just to not be a PITA.
