Why aren't more Americans mad at the NSA?

According to a poll, the majority of Americans are OK with the Obama administration listening in on our phone calls. Guys approve because they feel it increases security. And women approve of Obama's policy because finally a man is listening to them.

More Americans aren't mad for two reasons:

1. It isn't real. It is like watching an episode of CSI. Out here in the real world where most of us live crimes don't get solved that way, if they get solved at all. It isn't personally touching us. It isn't causing us any pain. It isn't even getting us arrested for some of our obviously criminal behaviors. So it isn't real.

2. Anger fatigue. Our government has been acting outrageously every week for the past ten years. It is hard to get excited about ANYTHING new they might do.
